The Milwaukee Bucks chose not to play Game 5 of their first-round playoff series against the Orlando Magic in protest of police brutality in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake, and the Rockets-Thunder and Lakers-Blazers matchups were also postponed. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds chose not to play, as well as the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Francisco Giants.
