During his heyday, Darryl Strawberry was considered one of the most feared sluggers in the game. He won a World Series ring with the New York Mets and three more with the Yankees. He was the 1983 NL Rookie of the year and was voted into the All-Star Game eight straight times, from 1984 to 1991. A perfect blend of speed and power, Strawberry is one of just 34 players to hit at least 30 home runs and steal at least 30 bases in one season.
Did You Know:
Strawberry (along with Dwight Gooden) are the only players to have won a World Series with both the Yankees and Mets.
