Before Derek Jeter was “Mr. November,” Reggie Jackson was “Mr. October.” Although he began (and ended) his career with the Oakland A’s, he will always be considered a New York Yankee. He has three World Series rings with the A’s and two more with the Yankees. He is best known for his clutch performance in the postseason. Jackson is a 14-time All-Star, won the AL MVP award in 1973 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993.
Did You Know:
Jackson hit .300 only once in his 21-year career – in 1980 with the Yankees.
